Tents and other membrane structures are used for many different reasons including special events and camping. Tents greater than 400 square feet require approval prior to being erected. RVFD Standard #118 has been developed to assist in the preparation of your event.

• Tents are required to be properly anchored. A State Licensed Engineer may be required to provide documentation of structural stability for tents in excess of 1500 square feet.
  • The minimum plan review fee is set forth in the current Fee Schedule based on square footage <1500sf or >1500sf (includes plan submission, plan review & single inspection).  These fees are the minimum charge for a typical application.  Additional charges may apply for large projects and re-inspections, or failures to comply, which result in additional inspections.
  • After-hour or weekend inspection requests may require additional fees.
