Ross Valley Fire Department is a consolidated department with the mission of protecting lives, property and the environments of Ross, San Anselmo, Sleepy Hollow and Fairfax through education, prevention and community service while working together in a professional and caring manner that is fair, honest respectful and ethical. RVFD is an all-risk, full-time professional fire department staffed with three engine companies staffed by Firefighter EMTs and/or Paramedics 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  We respond to requests for assistance, emergency and non-emergency, within our jurisdiction, in neighboring areas of Marin, and state or nationwide on an automatic or mutual-aid basis. By responding quickly and efficiently, and aggressively extinguishing fires and mitigating other emergency incidents, we protect lives, limit property damage, and promote safety in our community.
