Fire sprinklers are required for substantial remodels in the Towns of San Anselmo and Town of Fairfax. For substantial remodels on properties within the Town of Ross fire sprinkler systems are not required. The requirement for fire sprinklers related to a substantial remodel in Sleepy Hollow Fire Protection District is determined by the Marin County Building Department.
