Ross Valley Fire Department dedicated a monument to the victms of the 9/11 attacks September 11, 2011. Made from a piece of steel recovered from the World Trade Center, the monument was erected by Ross Valley firefighters and volunteers with funding provided by the Ross Valley Firefighter's Club.
The ceremony was atended by more than 200 residents and visitors, as well as uniformed firefighters, police officers, and airline personnel from American and United airlines.
